Anthropogenic global warming? Not according to Dr. Easterbrook.

Ned Pamphilon Productions 2013
Climate change. Man made or natural causes.

Anthropogenic global warming?
Not according to Dr. Easterbrook.

This is inspired by an interviewed posted at the excellent:

Prince Charles and David Attenborough push for measures against what they perceive as man-made climate change. I've heard the BBC R4 Now Show's Marcus Brigstocke mock what he terms climate change deniers while referring to the Glastonbury Healing Field as the field of lies. I have a FaceBook friend who calls himself a 'scientist' and left a comment for me...
My previous posting: Sir David Attenborough: Carbon Cultist:

“Sometimes in life you have to be prepared to accept what the generally accepted view is and not feel you have to always believe the minority belief by default!”

What a ridiculous statement, but then human-made Co2 induced climate change seems to be a ridiculous proposition based on an ideal rather than scientific fact. Indeed, what is scientific fact?
Richard Dawkins comes to call, by Dr. Rupert Sheldrake:

I have another friend who suggests I should actually declare and include on FaceBook commenst and posts, that I do care about the planet to more clearly make my argument when addressing climate change. Is it really necessary for me to affirm I like planet earth?! I persistently hear the BBC push the message of how humans are responsible for climate change and how we must better manage our carbon footprint. The business of carbon footprint credit and companiessuch as 'Blood and Gore' keep coming to mind. It smells fishy to me.

My gut feeling is they are perpetuating false accusation and there may even be a larger warped agenda detrimental to the mass population. People all too easily follow the beliefs and ideas of others rather than think for themselves. I suggest if you advocate man made climate change and really want to get serious about energy, take a serious look at the alternatives starting with Nikola Tesla and realise companies like Lockheed Martin already have the necessary technologies under lock and key somewhere within their vast organisation.

“We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity.... Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do.”
Ben Rich, Head of the Lockheed Skunk Works, Lecture just before he died.

I'm sure wind, solar and geothermal technologies can generate some energy requirements, but I do not see them as the long term answer.

As Gerlad Celente said in 2006:
"Permanent Clusters. Charged magnets. Hydrino power. Zero point energy. And yes, even cold fusion. It's going to happen and the invention is going to be as great as the discovery of fire and the invention of the wheel. It hasn't happened because the resources have not gone into it.... bring in the minds that are not attached to special interests..."
Gerald Celente - Innotown - Part 2

Via Julian Charles, a Christian thinker, preacher and podcaster based in the UK, I came across this astonishing testimony to the Washington State Senate Energy, Environment and Telecommunications Committee on the 26th of March 2013 by scientist Dr. Don Easterbrook:

Dr. Easterbrook, Professor Emeritus of Geology at Western Washington University, presents the committee with data and observations contrary to the theory of anthropogenic global warming. He states he is a specialist in global climate change, an environmentalist, has no political agenda and is not associated with nor funded by any business group. Of course, critics will say he is a lone voice, not the consensus and why take his word over so many others. I suggest you listen and judge for yourself. I made the following notes on his 1 hour 34 minute presentation:

The last bout of global warming ended 1998.

Ice sheets are not melting at all, in fact the main ice sheet is growing so ice caps are not going to suddenly melt and cause problems.

Sea levels are rising about 7 inches per century globally and locally due to thawing of a mini ice age 500 years ago. Predictions of future sea level rises of 5-20ft are beyond reality.

Co2 cannot possibly cause global warming because there is so little of it; it is a trace gas; ‘if you double nothing, you still get nothing’.
Weather storms and floods are not due to global warming.
The oceans are not acidic; oceans have a measurement of 8.2pH which is alkaline not acid;  the pH scale >7=alkaline, <7 = acidic.
The current conventional rationale for moving from one kind of energy generation e.g. coal, to renewable energy is 'climate change'.

There is nothing new about global warming; it has been happening for thousands of years; climate is not constant.
There have been 20 periods of global warming in last 500 years similar to that during 1978-98 that could not have been caused by Co2. It is due to natural causes.

10,000 years ago temperatures were higher than present temperatures, except for a period about 1300 years ago. Warming is nothing new. (00:17:40mins)

Claims that we are ‘warmer than ever’, come from the manipulation of data.

1936 was the hottest year in the last century until NASA manipulated the data.
The 1930's was the hottest decade of the century.

The committee ask if The National Science Foundation, NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and NASA have manipulated the data?
Dr. Easterbrook responds: yes! (00:22:00mins)
He continues...
The drought last summer was bad, but not unusual.
The hot spell of the 1930's began before Co2 began to rise.
Climate is taken to be over a period of 15 years, weather is day to day.
Recent drought was not as severe as during the 1930's.

The press will not print anything adverse about Co2 induced climate change.
Satellite data shows there has been global cooling over the last decade or two; a cooling trend since 2001.

(00:30.00mins) The committee comment on the contradictory data again... “Is this a conspiracy?”
Dr. Easterbrook replies, “I'm not into conspiracy. I deal with data and you can draw your own conclusions.”

Europe is having the coldest winter in 100 years... so much for global warming. You'll never see this on TV. You kill more people in cold winter than you do in a hot summer.

(00:35:00mins) Dr. Easterbrook quotes the IPCC as saying, "Polar ice caps are melting quicker than ever.”
He responds that there's no ice cap at the North Pole; the ice there is only about 3m thick; there are no glaciers at the North Pole.
Polar bear populations have increased from 5,000 to 25,000 and they survived 10,000 years ago when the climate was warmer than today; so they are fine.
Dr. Easterbrook continues to mention media headlines that stated the Antarctic is melting at an unprecedented rate. He suggests this is untrue; that actually the ice is growing; increasing; the South Pole has a 15,000ft thick ice sheet cap.
You would have to raise the temperatures by 100 degrees to melt the ice cap. The Antarctic ice cap has not disappeared in 15,000 million years.

(00:39.99mins) Glaciers grow, recede, grow, recede... global warming causes glaciers to melt. That doesn't tell us what is causing the warming. There is not Co2 cause and effect.
There is 39/1000 of 1% of Co2 in the air.
Since the 1950's, Co2 in air composition has increased by 8/1000 of 1%.
Co2 accounts for only 3% of greenhouse effect. 95% is water vapour.
Co2 by itself is incapable of causing significant global warming.
The global warming lobby model says Co2 effects water vapour effects climate change.

(00:44:50mins) Water vapour has decreased since 1947.
If Co2 causes global warming why did we have 30 years of global cooling when Co2 was rising?
The Co2 is saturated with respect to capturing of the frequencies of heat.
1915-2008 The maximum amount of Co2 induced heat change is less than 1/10 degree. This is basic physics.
Co2 rise always follows temperature rises, not the other way around.
Their computer models have been totally inaccurate.
Co2 is the result of global warming, not the cause. It is not capable of increasing global warming by itself, that's clear from the physics. Increase the temperature you increase Co2 because there's more given up by the oceans.

Greenhouse effect is caused by certain gases that will absorb certain frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum, namely heat.
Heat coming from the earth upward, radiates back into space. Certain gases will tend to capture it if you like and make the air warmer. That's why we have such a pleasant climate; we have lots of water vapour that keeps us nice and warm, otherwise we'd be cold. Gases that capture heat, is the easiest way to think of it.

(00:50:23mins) Sea level. The predicted sea level rise by the UN for New York by 2100 is an island! The Florida coastline is compared to the predicted 5-20Ft sea level rise; there's a TV programme coming up showing the sinking of the Maldives. The irony is the Maldives are emerging not sinking; not being drowned, they are coming up out of the ocean proof positive. Sea levels are actually lower since 1979.

Total sea level rise in the last century is about 6 inches.
For Seattle 1900-2003/4, a sea level rise of about 7 inches per century. Vancouver shows the same rate of rise. In some places it's going the other way.
If you take the sea level rise around Washington 1993-2013 and use it to predict the future, it suggests 7 inches rise by 2100; not a problem.

The UN predictions vary greatly from reality. In order to meet the UN's prediction, you'd have to melt the Antarctic ice cap. That's not happening now, not happened in 15,000,000 years and unlikely in our future.
‘Frequency of severe storms’. You see this in headlines everyday: big storm, must be global warming.
Glacial melt is not driving sea level rise. It is probably thermal expansion.

(00:57:00mins) Committee member: “I've just seen a glacier I haven't seen for 15 years and it was dramatically smaller - how do you account for that?”
Dr. Easterbrook: “Because it was melting from 1978-98. It takes a glacier a while to feel the effect of warming or cooling because there’s a lag effect. The response from a glacier can be 2-3 years to 15-20 years. It takes a while to put the brakes on and make a change.”

Committee member: “How do you account for the IPCC concluding climate change is real and it is human caused?”
Dr. Easterbrook: “Can I show you with a slide (image)? The point I want to make here is the frequency of severe storms is not increasing because of global warming. The number of tornadoes is not increasing as a result of global warming. The number of US hurricanes has decreased since 1851. Global hurricanes frequency has declined 1978. The number of hurricanes has decreased since 1970. Global precipitation has increased since 1950. There is no basis for predicting an increase in extreme weather because of global warming. A, it is not warming. B, it is not happening.

IPCC predictions: the next generations won’t know what snow is because of global warming. The East Anglian group of climatologists forecast snow fall in England will become a rare and exciting event.

(01:01:40mins) Newspaper headline: “Snowfalls are a thing of the past”.

The truth is snowfall is increasing, not declining. There is not less precipitation, there is more precipitation.

Acidification refers to turning the ocean into an acid. The oceans are not acid. They are alkaline 8.2pH; neutral would be 7pH. The allegation is, because there is more Co2 in the atmosphere that is going to put more Co2 into the oceans and at the same time Co2 is causing it to be warmer. There are not enough Co2 atoms in the atmosphere to turn the 300 million cubic miles of ocean acidic.

Add Co2 to water you get carbonic acid. That releases hydrogen which changes the acidity.
Cold water holds more Co2 than warmer water. If there is warming, it drives Co2 out of the oceans, not into it.

(01:07:30mins) Shellfish may be affected by local pollution making the local water less alkaline. The local seas might be more acidic, but not because of global warming. It is because of some local pollution of the water or the earth.

The range of acidity in the ocean ranges from about 8.2-7.9pH. The oceans are not becoming more acidic because acidic means it is acid. Where locally the sea is less alkaline it may be up-swelling of colder water - it is a regional cause and effect, not global warming.

(01:11:40mins) The so called consensus of ‘97% of all scientists say man made Co2 causes global warming’ is a fraudulent statement. A graduate student of Indiana, Illinois, sent out 10,257 questionnaires to climate scientists. He received 3,146 responses. Of those he selected either 77 or 79 to ask if they thought Co2 was causing climate change. From those handpicked scientists all but 2 said yes. The consensus you are hearing is 2% not 97%.

(01:13:30mins) The Petition Project: The Statement: “There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane or other greenhouse gases is causing or will in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the earth's atmosphere and disruption of the earth's climate.”

How many scientists with degrees in one of the sciences signed that? 31,487 as opposed to the survey so oft quoted. 9,029 have PHDs.
I would say the consensus is scientists do not believe Co2 is causing global warming.
About 4,000 people were involved in the IPCC project for the UN and by admission of the IPCC Chairman, 80% were non-scientists. Of the 27 people who wrote the executive summary, none have experience in meteorology.

The editorial boards of virtually every scientific journal in the US, perhaps the world, will not even read a paper that has anything negative about Co2 as a cause. The peer review process has been taken over by Co2 dogmatists. So, there may well be more peer reviewed papers published supporting Co2 as a cause because they will not publish anything else.

(01:17:.20mins) What does Washington need to do in the future?
01 Computer models: garbage in, garbage out.
02 Real physical evidence to establish cyclical patterns; on the ground research.

The IPCC were predicting 1 degree warming for 2000-2010 which would have been more than the warming for the entire century.
The actual satellite record shows the computer model was useless.
The temperature in the Eastern Pacific governs the climate of North America. Not Co2.
In 1999, after the second hottest temperature of the century after 1936, I predicted about 30 years of global cooling due to the ocean temperature change. People thought I was crazy. It happened. I was right.

(01:23:40mins) The committee: "I have peer reviewed data in front of me suggesting otherwise - has it been manipulated?”
Easterbrook: “That would be my guess, but send it to me and I'd be happy to respond.”
The ocean is controlling the composition of the atmosphere, not the other way around.
Why would NASA manipulate the data?
I don't know, I can just tell you I see different changes to data, I'm not a mind reader, all I can tell you is what I observe.
None of this has been reported because the media won't cover it?
The New York Times did a presentation on some of my material, I was called by every major national TV network and I experienced a media black out of my material. You never see headlines about global cooling.

The IPCC, NOAA, NASA, East Anglian climate-gate group make adjustments, homogenise data; the data that is no longer pure, so they make a correction.

Everything I've shown you today has been peer reviewed and I can give you references

Data, Dogma, and Discovery:

I would like to ask Dr. Easterbrook and the IPCC about chemtrails, weather wars and Dutchinse

I recommend Evita Ochel. She has addressed the awareness of what appears to be a global spraying programme regardless of public consent. Her response is 'Love > Fear', which some critics will perceive as wishy-washy pseudo-science. I suspect time will show her advise is grounded, constructive and good:
How to Handle Chemtrails from a Mind-Body Perspective:

Each of us writing to our MPs etc to create further awareness and demand a cessation of the spraying of our skies would be welcome. Among the reasons apparently given for chemtrails is to combat 'global warming' by reducing sunshine to our planet. This is a crazy idea to my mind, but seemingly being implemented by 'qualified' scientists and 'experts'. For those who have never considered chemtrails:

Public rejection of the global-warming myth has arrived:

It is a relief for those of us who have been shouting from the rooftops for years, that the theory of global-warming is a political weapon, to see that, at last, we are at the tipping point where public opinion has caught up with reality.

Thousands of researchers, scientists, and scholars have weighed in on the side of truth and, as reported in this issue, even professional mathematicians have joined the growing chorus. We have reached the point where any grade-school child can see through the lie that most scientists agree that anthropomorphic global warming is real.

In fact, it is just the other way around. The scientists who still support that hoax are, almost entirely, those who are employed by governments or by institutions that depend on government funding. That, by itself, is a dead give-away that there is something very political about this whole thing.

Did I say “something” political? The fact is that it’s totally political. The entire scheme is designed to frighten us into thinking that our planet, our way of life, our very survival is being threatened by a force so powerful and unrelenting that our only hope is a unified action of all mankind, coordinated by our gallant and unselfish political leaders. That means we must not object when they slap us with higher taxes, take away our property, and regulate every detail of our personal lives – all in the name of stopping global warming.

Globally minded politicians are aware that they are in a race against time.

They know they must finish the job of creating global government based on the model of collectivism very soon before the rising tide of public awareness makes that task impossible.

It is true that they have other schemes that can be used to frighten the public into passive acceptance of servitude – such as terrorism and civil disorder – but environmentalism has the advantage of producing results even without visible chaos. The imagination is a powerful force, and would-be tyrants are well versed in how to use that force against freedom.

21.03.2016 - The almost laughable BBC 'climate change' bias - a grotesque example:

The BBC is so biased on a whole range of subjects from ‘climate change’ to Palestine, Syria and so on that it beggars belief. But here is a most blatant example played out over only a few minutes. The programme is hosted by the legendary arrogance of a man called Nicky Campbell who takes it as read that what the authorities say about alleged ‘human-caused climate change’ is true and that anyone who challenges this nonsense must be basically lunatics on the fringe.

This built-in bias leads to him allowing Liz Hutchins, a spokeswoman from Friends of the Earth, and Green Party spokesman Jonathan Bartley (who rivals Campbell for arrogance and ignorance) to drone on unchallenged repeating the absolute drivel parroted by ‘The System’.

But when Campbell comes eventually to Piers Corbyn, the brother of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and a weather expert with a long record of accuracy, everything changes because Corbyn is challenging the official orthodoxy.

Notice that right from the start Campbell equates Corbyn with Donald Trump and it is taken as fact once again that Corbyn must be talking nonsense even though he is actually telling the truth.

The Green Party’s System-repeater Jonathan Bartley then claims that the BBC should not give a platform to ‘someone with such ridiculous views’ – thus confiming the Green Party’s total contempt for freedom of speech and free debate as highlighted by its leader Natalie Bennett who demanded that all government ministers and advisors who don’t accept the climate religion’s orthodoxy should be sacked.

Campbell defends the appearance of Corbyn on the basis that it allows Bartley and his System-repeating colleague from Friends of the Earth to ‘slam dunk him’.

It is extraordinary even for the BBC in its blatant bias and abuse of all principles of fair debate.

11:11 - Remembering War = Peace?

Having been based in Istanbul for over a decade and producing portraits of Atatürk, I am aware each year of 9.05am, 10 November, the time and anniversary whereby Turks stand for a minute's silence to remember the passing of the founder of the Turkish Republic. This 10.11.2013 was a 75 year anniversary.

Then comes 11 November and Remembrance Day to recall the end of hostilities of World War I on that date in 1918. Hostilities formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

11:11 also holds significance for those who have explored its symbolism. As an artist, the numerals hold a fascinating visual symmetry.

Poppy sellers come to our doors and we feel compelled or obliged to buy them. I noticed these following articles in recent days, which will upset those of a traditional, conventional disposition:
Swinging on the Gates of Hades - Remembrance Day Exposed:
Poppycock – or why remembrance rituals make me see red:
The Tap Blog: No poppy for me:

In a letter to my Conservative MP Matthew Hancock of 19 August 2013, to which he has not responded nor acknowledged, I said this...

Regarding the Coney Weston 1914-1918 war memorial by our village hall, my perception is...
PTE J.H. Bloomfield Queen’s RWS Regt.
PTE G. Brothers, Middlesex Regt
PTE C.W. Hogg, Wiltshere Regt.
PTE R.H. Hogg, Machine Gun Corps
PTE A. Hubbard, Suffolk Regt.
PTE J. Ollington Suffolk Regt.
Sergt. A.J. Sadd Suffolk Regt.
.... thought they were going to war for valid and just reasons; fighting a war to end all wars. Little did they know endless armed conflicts, official and unofficial, would continue well after their demise. Having researched perceived history, I sadly conclude, these brave young men were sacrificial lambs for an elitist vision above and beyond the awareness of most people.

Coney Weston village hall and 1914-1918 war memorial:
Bloomfield Brothers Hogg Hogg Hubbard Ollington and Sadd

Was it all part of a bigger plan? Perhaps it was to do with a typed letter signed by Lord Balfour and addressed to Lord Rothschild:
"In Palestine, we do not propose even to go through the form of consulting the wishes of the present inhabitants of the country…Zionism, be it right or wrong, is rooted in age-old traditions, in present needs, in future hopes, of far profounder import than the desires and prejudices of the 700,000 Arabs who now inhabit that ancient land.”
Lord Balfour, UK Foreign Minister 1917

“History becomes a meaningful event once it can be revisited; when we look at the past and manage to produce an ethical judgement that allows us to think of a better future. Locking millions of Palestinians into open air prisons is wrong. How is it possible that 3 years after the liberation of Auschwitz, Israel ethnically cleansed the Palestinian people? It repeated the Nazi crime.”
BBC Persia & Gilad Atzmon interview 01.08.2013

... end of MP letter quote.

So poppy day comes round again, locals come to our door and money is handed over rather than create a fuss on the doorstep. For those who really want to remember with a view to creating a better future, I suggest this following video better reflects my thoughts than the bombardment of 1984 style propaganda that descends upon our BBC airwaves:
The REAL truth about Palestine in response to Danny Ayalon:

If the UK were interfered with, we might react with any weapon or tool at our command. It is openly chronicled that external forces are operating and interfering in Syria. If any side is using chemical weapons, it is certainly the US-UK backed rebels. My perception is the UK, US and EU authorities are war mongering just as Blair and Bush did while the UK taxpayer is probably already funding covert operations. Since we are not informed of the activities of the intelligence services, due to ‘national security’ reasons, my MP cannot assure me one way or the other.

Last week I listened to and watched some of GCHQ's Sir Iain Lobban, MI5's Andrew Parker and MI6's Sir John Sawers being questioned by the Intelligence and Security Committee.
These people do not represent me. I do not consider NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden a threat to my or national security. Indeed, I view him as a brave individual and no BBC interview or politican's statement has thus far convinced me otherwise. These intelligent agencies represent a 1984 mind set justifying an endless taxpayer funded war machine, perpetuating a war = peace psychology. It seems far from intelligent. Indeed, I propose we consider doing away with intelligence agencies altogether as suggested in my essay Intellectual Property Right To Become Redundant:
"In 2010 I painted portraits of Gresham's 6 spies, which brings me to consider MI5, MI6 and the secret service networks that operate throughout the world in a never ending suppression of ideas and information in the name of national security. I propose the suppression of information, knowledge and advancements in technology and even consciousness, merely adds to the promotion of fear and the identification of an enemy to justify a trade in war and weapons fuelling the promotion of fear over love and death over life."

I heard on the news 22 July 2013, Hezbollah has been designated a terrorist organisation by the EU because they allegedly killed 5 Israelis in Bulgaria. Have UK intelligence services ever been responsible for killing a foreign national abroad and, therefore, committing terrorist activity? Are we so righteous that we can judge others? Anyone who accuses me of disrespect to the dead who fell to enable my freedom and liberty, go ask yourself what the legacy really is of our war dead. While I question the official presstitute history my accuser seems to acquiesce to the same old mind set supporting the same old war = peace psychology.

I always found Churchill's humour amusing, his drinking and smoking almost endearing and certainly as a child I was educated to view him as a hero. It is his intent I now question. It is interesting that Churchill suffered among his darkest periods at Gallipoli:
Yet, Churchill said of his adversary Atatürk:
"Had Ataturk been alive the second world war would not have been fought."

"Ataturk's death is not only a loss for the country, but for Europe is the greatest loss, he who saved Turkey in the war and who revived a new the Turkish nation after the war. The sincere tears shed after him by all classes of people is nothing other than an appropriate manifestation to this great hero and modern Turkey's Ata."

Atatürk, like so many leaders, leaves a different legacy for different people. I associate him with Turkey's national slogan:
Peace at Home, Peace in the World.
What a pity today's leaders, Turkish or otherwise, do not adhere to this idea.

I give you with some thoughts from Atatürk:
“Freedom consists of man’s ability to do what he thinks and desires without any influence or intervention by others. This is the broadest definition of the concept. Mankind has never attained liberty to this extent and never will because as is known, men are creations of nature and nature itself is not absolutely free either; it is subject to universal laws.”
Ataturk c.1930

“Religion is an issue of conscience. Everyone is free to conform to the commands of their conscience. We show respect for religion. We are not against a way of thinking or thoughts. We are only trying to not to mix religious affairs with the affairs of the nation and the state. We are avoiding reactionary actions that are based on evil intent and deeds.”
Ataturk c.1926

“Every individual has the rights and freedoms to think what he wants, to believe what he wants, to possess a political opinion that is unique to himself and to undertake or not undertake the requirements of the religion he has chosen. No one’s ideas or conscience can be dominated.”
Ataturk c.1925

Last night The People's Voice (TPV) aired its first broadcast. I suspect this new media station outlet can be a game changer. Mike Adams The Health Ranger has today posted a video update on his big research project at the Natural News Forensic Food Labs:
During this impromtu address, Mike mentions TPV.
Also this morning, the BBC report on John Major's talk at my nearby South Norfolk constituency:
'Truly shocking' that the private-school educated and affluent middle class still run Britain, says Sir John Major...
Hey John. Cut the crap. What about The Carlyle Group? Anyone for making money out of war?! John Major is an arms trade perpetrator and probably profiteer.
I've been to the Post Office with BBC 5 Live on my car radio. They were rattling on about 11/11 Remembrance. It is such a one sided, blinkered take. What do soldiers die for? Our freedom and Liberty? This is why The People's Voice can be a game changer, to address history and the bigger picture so better perspective is attained: No More To War!

So, what is my contribution to remembering and commemorating the dead? I repeat and probably not for the last time:
A New World Model:
"Yep, it might be as well we consider a general amnesty, perhaps a truth commission or investigative enquiry to explore all the lost technology and hidden secrets, so we can offer sanctuary to those we require to spill the beans, put them to one side out of our or their harm’s way and focus on creating a new model based on... here we go: unconditional love. Yeah, nice idea Ned, now get real! You can't beat the system! Or can you? It’s a thought."

Bitcoin Summary - On Going Update

"The Bitcoin protocol: from Satoshi Nakamoto, mysterious individual or team developers, single key cryptology,, extraordinarily large numbers create secure online cryptological prime numbers, factorising integers to create large numbers, requires a lot of processing power to get those numbers. The insight was to distribute that processing to a network, reward the network by calling the solutions coins or money, distribute that money, use that money as a currency limited to 21,000,000 coins (11,000,000 coins currently; video: 24:50mins). You have a virtual scarce good."
Max Keiser 2013 from Alessio Bets Max Bets Warren:

This is a Bitcoin summary, to be updated as and when new information arises. I was surprised, speaking to friends last week, they had never heard of 'Bitcoin'. I have an 'A' level in economics from another age, but far from a financial expert. Then again, who is? Financial terrorist and con trickster seems all too often appropriate terms. Anyway, this is my on-going Bitcoin watch, perhaps helpful for some.

Bitcoin is being used to buy goods and services. It is perceived as a threat to the established centralised banking systems and therefore, a threat to private controlling interests. An extreme scenario could be that it is a controlled 'false flag' initiation to drive the global money system toward a centrally controlled cashless society and system. It seems it has been designed to liberate the money system; provide an independent currency rather than a controlled and manipulated one.

My take is you purchase Bitcoin as you would gold. You pay money and buy some from some one who has some, not a centralised supply source. It is different to the fiat fractional banking system because the numbers are limited to 21,000,000 Bitcoins and, therefore, a finite supply. Quantitative easing is apparently infinite; until it the infinite runs out and it all comes crumbling down...
Bitcoin maybe the among the first of alternative systems to traditional currency systems. I once wondered if there were physical Bitcoins because I saw photos and a chap holding one - these were intended as symbolic illustrations for media articles. There is no physical Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Virtual Currency: Passing Fad Or Worthwhile Investment:

Bitcoin hits all time high $309:

Simon Black, comments:
Senator Tom Carper (Delaware), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, is confused about Bitcoin. Yesterday at a hearing about digital currencies, witness after another testified about the potential evils of digital currencies, including representatives from:
The Homeland Security committee
Criminal Division of the US Attorney General's Office
US Secret Service Criminal Investigative Division
The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network
The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children

The message they're sending is clear: digital currencies like Bitcoin equate to crime, terrorism, and child exploitation.

The testimony from the chief of Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) cited the benefits of digital currencies, including:
Simple, easy to navigate
Lower fees than the conventional financial system
Globally accessible
Can be used as both a store of value and medium of exchange

Yet, in listing all of these benefits, FinCEN's chief was actually trying to make a case AGAINST Bitcoin; in her mind, only criminal terrorists want low-fee, secure, globally accessible money. These politicians and bureaucrats can't wait to get their arms around digital currency to regulate the hell out of it. They don't understand it Bitcoin, therefore they think it's dangerous.

Even the World Bank president (a US government appointed) weighed in on digital currencies. Their entire argument begins with the deeply flawed premise that financial privacy is somehow wrong, immoral, and nefarious. There's no sense trying to convince them otherwise. We can expect more hearings, more regulation, more disclosures.

On the other side of the world, they're not afraid of Bitcoin. Places like Hong Kong and Singapore understand that they have a role to play as preeminent international financial centers in becoming financial hubs for digital currencies. Asia is embracing its potential role in the marketplace, complete with all the risks and rewards. A few weeks ago a Hong Kong-based Bitcoin exchange ran off with a few million dollars of customer money. But, that hasn't cooled demand in the region... nor has it sparked a wave of debilitating regulations to clamp down on digital currencies. This means all the new businesses and intellectual capital associated with digital currencies will flock to Asia... just in the same way that all the cutting edge precious metals firms are now basing themselves in Singapore.

The US government is sharpening its steak knives in anticipation of a great digital currency roast, but they'll find out very soon that Bitcoin has left the building... and moved on to greener, safer pastures in Asia.

03.11.2014 - G. Edward Griffin: Why didn't I send this to you in 2012 ?

The topic of this email is cutting-edge and controversial. It's at the center of one of the most heated debates ever witnessed among economists, politicians, bankers, and philosophers. That's because it's about the nature of money. To be more specific, it's about what the nature of money should be.

The reason for raising the issue of why I did not send this analysis to you in 2012 is to focus on two facts. The first is that, if I had done so and if you had acted on it, you would have made a lot of money. In fact, your investment would have multiplied twenty-five times!

The second fact is that, in 2012, I didn't have enough information to offer an opinion on this topic, and I didn't want to endorse something that I didn't fully understand. There are risks with any investment, but this one is unique because it represents something entirely new, something that never previously existed in history. That means there also are risks that previously never existed, and I wanted more time to find out what those might be before entering into the debate.

The experience of the last two years has provided the answers. It now is possible to identify, not only the unique risks with this investment, but the unique advantages as well. To explain what those are is the purpose of this report.

By now, you undoubtedly have heard about Bitcoin, usually described in the news as crypto-currency or digital money. You have heard that some people became wealthy from it, that some lost money when a dealer went bankrupt, and that the Chinese government recently told its banks to stop accepting it as money.

By following the links in this report, you will learn exactly what Bitcoin is and what makes it unique in the historical evolution of money. You also will see the status of this global money system after absorbing the shockwaves of a bankrupt dealer and the China declaration.

In my view, Bitcoin is an important experiment in monetary freedom. It offers a potential alternative to the world's national fiat currencies that now serve as mechanisms of legalized plunder on behalf of governments and their banking partners.

I would like to state clearly that I do not endorse Bitcoin as a get-rich-quick scheme, nor do I believe that it is without risks, which I will identify shortly. Because of these risks, it would not be wise to place all of your savings in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not gold. It has not been around for thousands of years. It has not stood the test of time and proven that it will hold value. It is volatile. It is unpredictable. It is brand new.

Here is a summary of the risks associated with Bitcoin as I see them.

❶ Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, which means it has no use except as money. Intrinsic value is one of the time-tested characteristics of successful money systems. The arrival of the digital age may lessen the importance of this feature but, if there should be a long-term collapse of the Internet (think EMP or X-Class solar flare), Bitcoin could not function. However, the same can be said of checkbook money, savings accounts, credit cards, stocks and bonds, and just about everything else except precious metals and life-necessities in one's physical possession.

❷ Governments recognize that Bitcoin is a threat to their fiat currencies and will attempt to demonize it (through the media) and place legal barriers against its use. However, the same can be said of precious metals and food stockpiling. In both cases, citizens eventually may have to choose between becoming lawbreakers or protecting their savings.

❸ Although it may be impossible for the number of Bitcoin to be increased beyond the built-in limit (which is what holds the currency's value over time), imitators will enter the market with new currencies based on the Bitcoin model. This process already has begun. Competition is healthy, because it allows freedom-of-choice and insures that only the best options succeed. Eventually, it is likely that two or three of the most popular crypto-currencies will become the market champions. The potential down side is that the total number of spendable units in all of the currencies combined would not be as limited as if there were only one. Even so, the inflationary effect of this phenomenon would not even be close to the devastating loss of purchasing power that is built into fiat currencies. In fact, the addition of a second or third crypto-currency actually might be beneficial because it would allow the gradual expansion of the money supply in response to the expansion of goods and services. The net effect would be similar to mining more gold in response to rising gold prices caused by consumer demand for more gold money.

❹ Bitcoin accounts are computer based and, as such, could become targets of sophisticated hackers. If hackers break into a dealer's computer, it would be possible to transfer credits to other accounts without a trace of where they went or who did it. However, the same can be said of online bank accounts, savings accounts, and brokerage accounts.

❺ Bitcoin is still a new phenomenon and may contain additional risks not yet perceived.

Now let's look at the advantages of Bitcoin. Here is the question:

In spite of the risks and the powerful forces loyal to fiat money, does Bitcoin have the potential to advance the freedom movement and, at the same time, improve your personal financial position?

Allow me to introduce you to Max Wright who is in the best position to answer that question. I first learned about Bitcoin in 2012 from Max who, incidentally, has been a member of Freedom Force for many years and who helped organize the first Australian Freedom Force Meet-Up in 2006. His excellent understanding of monetary history gives him a solid foundation for explaining how Bitcoin fits into the evolution of currency. Max has written and spoken on this topic worldwide, and he is the reason I first became interested in the technology.

Max recently published an excellent report that shows just how big the potential of Bitcoin is, and he has agreed to send you a free copy. You can get your copy:

When you receive this report, you also will find a link to a short video in which Max reveals his predictions for Bitcoin in the next 12-24 months. These are just predictions, of course, but they are well worth considering.

Does this mean that I have given up on gold as the ideal money? Not at all! I am still the same Gold Bug I always have been. However, here is something to think about.

When gold and silver rise in value, it generally is a result of a decrease in purchasing power of fiat currencies. An ounce of gold today buys approximately the same basket of goods it bought a hundred years ago even though the number of dollars it represents is much greater. Acquiring gold or silver, as good as that is for protecting the purchasing power of your savings, does nothing to improve your wealth. For that, you need an income, a source of revenue, a profit on your investment. Except in times of economic panic, when the masses rush to exchange their fiat currency for anything of intrinsic value in the last stages of currency collapse, gold and silver do not produce an income.

If Bitcoin becomes widely accepted as money, it will become exactly like gold and silver in this regard. Possessing or spending it will not produce income. Like all good money, it will be passive in that regard. It's total function will be to measure the value of goods and services and be available as a medium of exchange.

Right now, however, Bitcoin could experience an upsurge in value during the transition period leading to its universal acceptance, and therein lies the potential for a stunning growth in value from an increase in demand that far outpaces its supply. In that event, real income would be the result ̶̶ just as it occurred over the last two years. We do not have to abandon faith in gold and silver to realize that, if we have funds somewhere that we can afford to risk, it might be smart to acquire Bitcoin.

As stated at the beginning, if I had sent out this information two years ago when the price of Bitcoin was $12, it may have made a big difference to your savings or retirement account, given that one Bitcoin now is worth over $300. According to Max’s predictions, there still is a lot of room for growth.

I hope you enjoy learning about this new technology.

G. Edward Griffin

05.11.2014 - Will Bitcoin slay the Creature from Jekyll Island?

The flood of comments received in response to my recent report on Bitcoin shows, not only that our readers are intensely interested in this topic, but that they also are quite knowledgeable about the nature and function of money. Most of their questions are profound and require a great deal of thought. Some of them (and my responses) are published in the Forum section of Unfiltered News.

The question asked most often, however, is not in that category. It is simple, direct, and practical: Does Bitcoin have the potential to replace government fiat money? Will it put an end to inflation and legalized plunder? Will it lead to the demise of central banks, such as the Federal Reserve System? In other words ...

Will Bitcoin slay the Creature from Jekyll Island?

The honest answer to that question is that it depends on two things: (1) the degree to which the public embraces Bitcoin as an alternative form of money and (2) the degree to which the advocates of fiat money (governments, banks, and their legions of beneficiaries) succeed in demonizing and outlawing it.

Make no mistake about it, the battle lines are drawn, and that is precisely why the interest in Bitcoin is so intense. You who read my stuff every week are fully aware that the stakes are high ̶ very high, indeed.

It was Thomas Jefferson who said:
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks... ll deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Bitcoin has the potential to do exactly that.

Bitcoin is a new technology, and there are things about it on the technical side that I do not understand, but I do know that there are risks involved, and the future is not predicable. This is a fascinating experiment in money and, in spite of the risks, or perhaps I should say because of the risks, there is a potential for stunning gains.

To begin the journey into Bitcoin's potential, I suggest you start here with a video from Bitcoin expert, Max Wright, explaining why he thinks Bitcoin is on the brink of going mainstream.

If it also helps slay the Creature From Jekyll Island, I am all for it.

But you decide for yourself. This issue is about as intriguing as it gets.

08.11.2014 - Andreas Antonopoulos Explains Bitcoin to the Canadian Senate:
Dutch Neighborhood Now Accepting Cryptocurrency:
North Bay Bitcoin:

26.11.2014 - An account by Max:
"Can you imagine taking a family vacation, only to be stopped by the Canadian Border Patrol and asked to turn over all of your passwords, banking account details, and personal photos from your phone and laptop?

Unfortunately that is what recently happened to me. I was detained for 2 hours at the Canadian border, and asked for all of my passwords to my cell phone, computer, and even my iPad.

For what? Having Bitcoin-related business cards in my backpack!

Can you believe it?

I couldn’t! I mean, Bitcoin is 100% LEGAL. In fact, the Financial Crimes Unit of the United States recently issued a statement that they see many valid and good uses for the digital currency. Heck, even and accept Bitcoin… but nonetheless I think it scares certain government officials. And I can’t say that bothers me one bit. It should scare them. Because they can’t really control it.

When I asked the unfriendly 50-year old border patrol agent why he needed this information, he made it very clear that entry to Canada was a privilege (not a right) and I was NOT entitled to answers. I felt very violated after this two hour detour, and I was inspired to do something about it."

23.09.2015 - THE BITCOIN BUBBLE - Andreas Antonopoulos:

03.11.2015 - Meet the digital currency that is a total scam:
It was back in May 2010 that the very first ‘real world’ Bitcoin transaction was conducted: 10,000 bitcoins traded for two Papa John’s pizzas.
Today that transaction would be worth nearly $4 million, probably making those the most expensive pizzas in the history of the world.
But back then it was considered revolutionary to trade a ‘digital’ currency, something that few people really understood at the time, for a real product.
People are still skeptical of digital currency. But the concept itself is not so esoteric.
As Jim Rickards reminded me some time ago, MOST currencies are digital, even the US dollar.

The Federal Reserve’s estimate of US dollar money supply is $12.1 trillion; yet only about 10% of that is physical cash in circulation.
The rest—more than $10 trillion—is simply a series of entries in banks’ core system databases.
In other words, the money in your savings account isn’t piled up inside your bank’s vault. Far from it.
Your savings doesn’t really exist. It’s all just digits in an electronic account ledger.
And yet we transact with these digital currency units all the time.
Whenever you use a credit card or send a bank transfer, you’re using the digital form of your currency.

This concept actually dates back to the Middle Ages when Italian bankers realized that they could conduct their transactions without physical money.
Rather than risk transporting gold coins across the countryside, medieval bankers merely annotated their ledgers with debit and credit entries.
They didn’t have the computers, but it was the same concept-- they kept track of transactions and balances on account ledgers, instead of with physical money.

In the late 1960s, the IMF took this idea to the next level when they created their own digital currency for the exclusive use of governments and central banks.
They’re called Special Drawing Rights (SDR, or XDR).
And even though the IMF’s balance sheet totals nearly 300 billion SDR (around $211 billion USD), not a single SDR exists in physical form.
100% of the SDR money supply is digital. Just like Bitcoin, it exists in computer databases, making it the digital equivalent of a 500-year old accounting system.

There is one key difference, though.
No one controls Bitcoin. But dollars, euros, SDR, etc., are controlled by central banks.
Federal Reserve, Banque du Canada, Bank of Japan, etc. all decide how much of their currencies to create.
The SDR in particular is a total scam; the entire reason it was created was because the system didn’t have enough real savings.
So they ‘solved’ the problem by creating a new digital currency that allowed them to easily conjure more money out of thin air.

But the even bigger risk is the commercial banks, which control your account balances. They keep all the records and ledgers, they hold all the keys.

This means that the ‘money’ in your savings account isn’t really yours. You don’t actually have any savings.

What you really have is a claim on your bank’s savings. Your account is just an entry in the liability column of their digital ledger.

When you make a deposit, you’re trading your money for a banker’s promise to repay you.

And there are countless regulations giving them the authority to break that promise.
(If you want to test this premise, try withdrawing $25,000 just to see how your bank reacts.)

That’s the system that controls your wealth today. It’s almost entirely digital. And it’s run by unelected bureaucrats whose interests are not aligned with your own.

This is not a free system. And any rational person should consider parking at least a rainy day fund outside of this system.

Bitcoin is certainly one option.

No one controls it, which is a novel concept in an era when governments and central banks control everything from the value of your savings to what you can/cannot put in your own body.

But if Bitcoin isn’t your flavor just yet, consider other options.

Gold and silver still have incredible merit since they cannot be conjured out of thin air by central banks.

And even holding physical cash is a much better alternative than keeping everything inside a highly centralized banking system.

02.5.2016 - Craig Wright revealed as Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto:
Max of Success Council...
45 Year Old Australian Entrepreneur, Craig Wright came out today, revealing himself as Satoshi Nakamoto.
Reddit has been abuzz both in doubt and awe about the truth of this revelation.
But most Bitcoiners believe Wright (no relation to me) is Nakamoto…
In a blog post, Wright stated:
"I have been staring at my screen for hours, but I cannot summon the words to express the depth of my gratitude to those that have supported the bitcoin project from its inception – too many names to list.
You have dedicated vast swathes of your time, committed your gifts, sacrificed relationships and REM sleep for years to an open source project that could have come to nothing.
And yet still you fought.
This incredible community’s passion and intellect and perseverance has taken my small contribution and nurtured it, enhanced it, breathed life into it. You have given the world a great gift. Thank you.
Be assured, just as you have worked, I have not been idle during these many years. Since those early days, after distancing myself from the public persona that was Satoshi, I have poured every measure of myself into research. I have been silent, but I have not been absent. I have been engaged with an exceptional group and look forward to sharing our remarkable work when they are ready.
Satoshi is dead.
But this is only the beginning."

And Wright offered proof to substantiate his identity at a meeting with the BBC by digitally signing messages using cryptographic keys created during the early days of BTC’s development.

These keys were linked to blocks of Bitcoin minded by Satoshi, and for many Bitcoin experts, this is enough proof to confirm Wright's identity.

Experts like Gavin Andresen, chief scientist at the Bitcoin Foundation, published a blog backing Wright’s claim:
"I believe Craig Steven Wright is the person who invented Bitcoin," he wrote.

Where that leaves the Bitcoin community only adds further excitement to the big event that is coming up this July.

We live in exciting times!
